Concert Touring

Since 2006, we’ve been working with artists in genres ranging from EDM to Latin pop and from classical to grime. We design, render, draw, program, operate and direct entirely in house, eschewing the traditional model of contract operators in favour of a cohesive, accountable service that lets us work with artists and their teams from concept to closing night.

We’re perfectly positioned to supply console, media server and other control systems out of both our Australian and the UK offices for tours anywhere in the world, and our team has over sixty countries of experience under their belt – delivering everything from festivals to full stadium tours for our artists.

5 Seconds of Summer // Meet You There Tour

Production, lighting and video design for the boys’ new world tour. Featuring surrounding walls of Sceptron LED punctuated by walls of blinding strobes and LED, the Meet You There tour is an assault of visual content only matched by the band’s energy.

Pnau // Changa Tour

Lighting design for the groundbreaking EDM force that is Pnau. Backing up the success of their huge worldwide hit album “Changa,” the band has taken to the road with an all new psychedelic show featuring a wall of Ayrton Magic Blades and a whole host of UV, fog, strobes and other effects.

Ricky Martin // One World Tour

Production, lighting and video design for the world’s number 1 Latin superstar; Ricky Martin. Developed in 2015 for the One World tour, the design lives on to this day, complete with moving pods of video, lighting and stunning automation that fills stadiums.

Backstreet Boys // Larger Than Life Las Vegas Residency

Production and lighting design for the Backstreet Boys sellout Las Vegas residency, with an immersive and completely custom build that consumes the expansive Zappos Theatre at Planet Hollywood. Going from concept design to full installation in under twelve weeks, this ambitious project saw us develop lighting, automation and video previsualisation concurrently with production design documentation. A limited rehearsal period saw over a thousand lighting cues come together in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The show is one of Vegas’ most successful residencies and is a visually spectacular show every bit as powerful as the Boys’ generations of music.

Stormzy

Lighting design for British grime superstar Stormzy for both UK and international tours, with festival and touring dates across Europe, the USA, throughout Asia and Australia. Touring designs and the mammoth UK show called for incredible balance between Stormzy’s high energy grime sets and his gospel-inspired lyrical songs. We loved working with Stormzy’s video team to create some amazing visual moments.

Nothing But Thieves

The Broken Machine is the bands second critically acclaimed album which truly made people stand up and listen. The Broken Machine concept was taken in to the lighting design producing shapes built from light that represent the cracks in world society.  Creating something visual to represent the album concept was talked about early in the process. We would then build a show around this concept and create a visual onslaught which represented the Rock nature of the band music.

Taio Cruz // Live

We’ve worked with Taio Cruz constantly since 2012 as he’s toured almost every corner of the planet with his hugely successful hits. From festivals in Angola, Sri Lanka, India and Thailand to stadium appearances in Malaysia, Australia and Japan, we’ve provided lighting, production and video designs each time he’s stepped onto a stage.

Dizzee Rascal

Continuing our long standing relationship with UK rap Royalty Dizzee Rascal we were once again commissioned to bring a show that would leave audiences breathless. Dizzee’s shows are from start to finish 100 MPH!  he loves to hype the crowd from the moment he steps on stage to the moment he leaves.  The show design had to be able to match such a pace and be completely versatile from the lyrically dazzling Rap songs from his Raskit album but then switch to full on pop for the huge hits such as Bonkers.

G.E.M. // XXX Live Tour

Gloria Tang Tsz-kei, also known by her stage name G.E.M., is a Chinese singer-songwriter and actress. Mandylights were asked to provide lighting design for her enormous X.X.X. Live Stadium tour which played over a hundred stadiums and arenas across China, Europe, the US and Australia for almost three years. Not only content with the lighting rig that could feature over a thousand moving lights, Mandylights also provided video server programming and rental and designed the deployment of over a quarter of a million LED wristbands which were programmed to match the lighting content of the stage.

Tory Lanez // Memories Don’t Die Tour

We were asked to design Tory’s second album tour ‘Memories Don’t Die’. The brief was to create a simple and effective industrial production and lighting design that gave Tory an iconic look for his tour and festival shows. The design was based around 8 GLP Force 120 fans and 16 custom printed balloons to reflect his album design.

CNCO / World Tour

Lighting and production design for the Latin boy band across Mexico and South America.

Gang of Youths // MTV Unplugged

As part of the MTV Unplugged series, Mandylights designed lighting for this acclaimed broadcast event in addition to other Unplugged specials.

Deftones

We created a dynamic touring lighting and stage design for the Deftones, featuring around 600 LED tubes rigged in mesh netting that could easily be deployed in minutes at festivals with tight turnarounds.

Good Charlotte // Madden Brothers

Lighting and production design for their “Welcome to California” tour, featuring disguise-based projection and a classic lighting rig that supported the 14-strong band.

James Bay // Electric Light Tour

James Bay is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist. In 2014, he released his single “Hold Back the River”, which has been certified platinum, before releasing his debut studio album Chaos and the Calm. The album went to number one in the UK and number 15 in the US. We’ve been working with James since day one and supported him one his first world wide touring cycle which lasted 2 years. It’s been great to work with James from the bottom up after our first show with him in Scala in London back in 2014 to doing 3 nights at Brixton and 4 night at Hammersmith Apollo in 2016.

Robbie Williams // One Night in Sydney

We designed a one off show in Sydney for pop-superstar Robbie Williams. The dynamic design was entirely previsualised ahead of a very tight turnaround for this nationally broadcast event.

Enter Shikari

Over 10 years we have been creating visual spectacles for the band Enter Shikari! This tour was no different as the tour embarked on a European tour with stops at many arenas.  The band requested minimal visuals but equally wanted a large animated design to keep up with the pace that is known world wide as a Shikari show. LED architecture and huge crane like towers flooded each arena and brought something visually stunning.

Joey Bada$$

Joey’s a Brooklyn born and raised hip-hop artist who released “All-Amerikkkan Bada$$” in 2017 which Mandylights has supported ever since. We’ve toured extensively across the UK, European, US, Asian, Australian & New Zealand touring markets covering full production touring shows and festivals. Our brief was to create a military themed production design that was scalable to the range of venues he was touring.

Ricky Martin // Live World Tour

Mandylights provided full production, lighting and video design in addition to programming, content creation and ongoing direction for this stadium and arena tour which has been performing since 2015. The epic production features four giant moving cubes of video and lighting, each filled with automation reveal gags and a host of special effects. A rear wall of one hundred moving lights creates a spectacular backdrop to the multi-level stage, which features over 3,500 custom designed square LED pixels created by Mandylights specifically for the touring production.
